Gardens of the Battery

The Gardens of the Battery is situated at 195, 000 square feet of perennial gardens. It is free and open to the public. The Battery Bosque is a unique 4-acre woodland garden. The Bosque features almost 140 London plane trees, and the Gardens of Remembrance features more than 100 different types of perennials. They have a huge list of blossoms throughout the year. Out of which, Yarrow Mediterranean, Sunset hyssop, Bear’s breeches are summer flowers; Glory–of–the–snow, Purple globe onion, Flowering onion, Windflower, Arkansas blue star are from spring; Parsley–leaf windflower, Chinese anemone, Grape leaf anemone, etc. are fall flowers. Brooklyn Botanic Garden

Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) is a garden in the district of Brooklyn in New York City. Established in 1910, and situated in the Prospect Park neighborhood, the 52-section of land (21 ha) plant incorporates various claim to fame “cultivates inside the Garden”, plant accumulations and the Steinhardt Conservatory, which houses the C. V. Starr Bonsai Museum, three atmosphere themed plant structures, a white cast-iron and glass amphibian plant house, and a workmanship exhibition. The Garden holds more than 14, 000 taxa of plants and every year has more than 900, 000 guests. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden has a great blooming collection like Sweet Alyssum, Golden Butterflyweed, ‘Sonata White’ Cosmos, New England Aster, ‘Wood’s Pink’ New York Aster, Autumn Crocus, Rose, Canna Lily, and much more. The garden observes Japanese cherry blooms during “Hanami” (through Apr 29), with more than 200 trees blooming along the garden’s Cherry Walk, Cherry Esplanade and the Japanese-Hill-and-Pond Garden during the time of April. The garden is closed on Monday. Adults tickets are $15 and Friday mornings from March – November (8 am -12 pm) are free to visit.
